Private cloud, or virtual private server service
With our private cloud (also known as virtual private server) service, we provide our customers with an optimal, flexibly scalable solution for any server requirement from our secure data centres in Hungary, including the necessary software, in a monthly fee service.
What is a virtual private server / private cloud service?
A private cloud or virtual server service is like a digital data storage and computer for a company tailored to the company's needs, but the computer and data storage are not located on the company's premises, but on remote servers running in multiple secure data centres.
Is it a cloud or virtual server service? The two are almost the same, but today we call your IT environment, which consists of multiple virtual servers running on non-proprietary devices, the cloud.
But how private? Our data centres are protected against unauthorised access and have multiple independent power supplies, air conditioning and internet access. Our securely housed servers give companies their own dedicated space to store data and run applications. The space used by our virtual servers is secure, segregated by industry-leading solutions and only accessible by the company, eliminating data interference.
The service is flexible and can be easily expanded if more space or resources are needed. In addition, there is no need to buy or maintain expensive equipment, because the technical details are taken care of by NKS.
Whether it's just a single server, a group of servers belonging to a solution (e.g. SAP) or all the servers that the company wants to run in a secure, protected location, virtual private server or private cloud service is a good solution for all needs!
Choose to pay a monthly operating cost of a fraction of the investment, rather than the hard-to-find investment, which brings financial benefits to the company in addition to the technical advantages.
What are the advantages of virtual private servers/private cloud?
- Scalability: virtualised servers in the private cloud can be scaled quickly, so customers can easily adapt resources to their needs. If a machine needs more processors or memory, it can be added without shutting down the machine!
- Flexibility: applications and data in the cloud can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, and our data centres have high-speed broadband internet connections both domestically and abroad.
- Cost-effective: private cloud avoids expensive hardware installation and maintenance costs, paying only for the resources used and only on a monthly basis.
- Customisability: private clouds allow companies to tailor infrastructure and applications to their specific needs, which is often difficult to achieve with servers running in the public cloud.
- Human resource efficiency: our customers do not need to maintain expensive IT capacity on our servers, and the expertise in-house can focus on the operation and development of tailor-made solutions.
- Data security: the private cloud makes the use of high-level security solutions essential, and also allows for the use of customised security solutions, which may be more appropriate for a particular company than a public cloud.
- Updates and maintenance: the tools that make up our cloud service are regularly updated and maintained, so our customers don't have to worry about this.
- Resource optimisation: private clouds enable better utilisation and allocation of resources, reducing under-utilised hardware, which is difficult to avoid when a company needs to scale capacity 3-4 years in advance.
- Disaster recovery: our private cloud service can also include a disaster recovery solution, so our customers can restore their IT services faster after an unexpected event.
- Simplified management: centralised monitoring and management makes the private cloud easy to manage and monitor. Availability can even be measured by our customers' own monitoring tools.
- +1: private cloud services are a monthly fee-based solution, an operating expense for accounting purposes, and therefore fully deductible as an expense against the investment.
Why is virtual private server/private cloud cost-effective?
- Reduced hardware costs: our customers do not need to purchase and maintain their own data centre equipment and servers.
- Energy and cooling costs: data centres require significant energy to run. Using the cloud can reduce these costs.
- Software licensing: we have service licence agreements, which are more cost-effective than traditional licensing models because you only pay for what you use.
- Manpower: The management and maintenance of on-premises infrastructure is labour-intensive. The cost of automation and operation spread across multiple servers is lower than the cost of a few servers per manual task.
- Scalability: our customers only pay for the resources they use, so there is no need to buy, operate or maintain excess capacity.
- Disaster recovery: our cloud-based disaster recovery solution is more cost-effective than having to buy and maintain all the necessary components in a company's own data centres.
